About the app
Sideline Soundcheck helps adult coaches, parents and team organizers manage lineups, prepare player introductions and play locally stored audio. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement and authority to act for any organization you represent. This app is not an emergency announcement system or an official service of any sports league, team, music service or equipment manufacturer.
License and purchases
Subject to applicable store rules and these terms, the publisher grants you a limited, nonexclusive license to use the app on compatible devices you own or control for lawful team and event activities. Purchase does not transfer ownership of the app, its artwork or its bundled components. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses; these terms do not restrict rights those licenses or applicable law give you.
The offline edition is offered for a one-time app purchase, without a monthly app subscription or per-announcement generation charge. The store shows the price and applicable taxes before purchase. Purchases, permitted family sharing, reinstallation and refunds follow the relevant store rules and applicable consumer law. An iPhone purchase does not promise an Android entitlement, or vice versa. The purchase does not include music licenses, a speaker, future separately sold products, or a guarantee of indefinite compatibility with future operating systems. Nothing here removes legally required updates, remedies or refunds.
For an App Store download, Apple's Standard EULA governs the application license. These app-specific terms are intended to supplement, not contradict, that license or mandatory store usage rules. See https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. For Google Play downloads, applicable Google Play terms also apply. The publisher supplies app support through the contact above.
Your audio, photographs and roster information
You retain any rights you have in the content you add. You must have the rights and permissions required to import, copy, edit, generate from, share and play that content for your intended use. This includes rights in photographs and recordings and any required permission concerning a person's name, image or voice. Obtain appropriate permission before using or sharing children's information. Do not assume permission from the fact that a file is downloadable or that a child appears on a team roster.
The app processes selected content locally to perform the features you request. These terms do not give the publisher a general right to publish your roster, use your team photos in advertisements or train a hosted model on your recordings. The privacy policy explains voluntary support communications and user-directed sharing separately.
The app does not supply commercial songs or grant music, recording, synchronization, public-performance or venue licenses. Buying a recording or subscribing to a streaming service does not necessarily authorize event playback or copying into this app. Check the permissions needed for your event with the rights holders, venue or league. Short clips are not automatically exempt. Subscription-protected files may not work; do not circumvent copy protection.
Generated announcements
Announcements use a bundled synthetic announcer voice and run on the device. Outputs can mispronounce names, omit words or contain unexpected audio. Preview each announcement before saving or publicly playing it. You are responsible for the script you choose and its lawful use. Do not use the feature for deceptive impersonation, false endorsements, fraud, unlawful threats, harassment or infringement. No particular pronunciation, output uniqueness or exclusive copyright in generated audio is promised. The app is not intended to identify people by voice.
The publisher does not assert ownership of your scripts or any rights you independently hold in generated announcements. Any rights in outputs remain subject to applicable law and third-party rights; this statement does not promise rights the publisher cannot grant.
Storage and game-day operation
Install the app and its model assets before going offline. Installation, updates and obtaining files from cloud providers may need an internet connection and substantial storage. Generation also needs sufficient working memory and time. Use the supported-device information in the store listing, and prepare announcements before the event.
Keep original audio and image files. Roster export includes names, numbers, labels, clip settings and order, but excludes audio files, team photos and absent-player settings. It is not a full backup. Device loss, uninstalling, clearing app storage or changing OS backup settings can cause data loss. A recipient or cloud provider you choose may retain a shared copy independently.
Keep the app open for playback and check the intended speaker and volume beforehand. Interruptions, Bluetooth connections, device settings and available resources can affect operation. Do not use audio at unsafe volume or in a way that prevents attention to play, surroundings or venue instructions.
Acceptable use and third-party components
Do not use the app unlawfully, misrepresent affiliation or remove legally required notices. Do not redistribute proprietary app assets or code without permission. This restriction does not override lawful interoperability, reverse-engineering exceptions or open-source licenses. Third-party software and model notices are available through Roster & help → Open-source licenses. Comply with applicable third-party service terms when selecting files or sharing information.
Support, problems and complaints
Contact support@salassoftware.com with the app version, device/OS and a description of the problem. Please avoid sending children's rosters, private photos or audio unless necessary and you are authorized to disclose them. We may request a fictional reproduction instead. For a rights complaint, identify the material or feature, the right claimed, your relationship to the rights holder and a contact address. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless a justified verification process has been agreed.
Warranties, responsibility and disputes
The app may contain defects and cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the extent lawful, it is provided as available without additional promises beyond the published product description and any applicable express or statutory warranties. Mandatory consumer guarantees and other non-excludable rights remain intact. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that applicable law does not permit the publisher to exclude, or shifts the publisher's own infringement or privacy obligations onto customers.
Please contact the publisher first so we can try to resolve a problem. These supplementary terms add no mandatory arbitration, class-action waiver, fixed liability cap or exclusive court venue. Apple's Standard EULA applies separately to App Store downloads and includes its own warranty, liability and other provisions. Applicable law and mandatory consumer protections remain applicable.
Changes and ending use
You can stop using the app and remove it from your device at any time. Preserve needed files before doing so. The publisher may update these terms for future versions, with a revised effective date and notice appropriate to the change. Changes do not retroactively authorize new data uses or remove accrued consumer rights. Where affirmative acceptance is legally required, notice alone is insufficient. Separately licensed components retain their own terms.
