Sideline Soundcheck

How can we help?

Support and privacy requests are handled by Salas Software LLC.

Email support

Available on Android through Google Play. The iPhone version is not yet available. These guides describe the current offline edition.

How can we help?

For technical help, privacy requests or rights concerns, email support@salassoftware.com. Include Sideline Soundcheck in the subject so we can identify the app.

For technical issues, include your app version, phone model, iPhone/Android version, what you tried and what happened. Please use fictional player and team names. Do not send passwords, payment-card information, children's rosters, team photos or private recordings. If an example is needed, we can work with you to find a suitable reproduction.

Prepare before game day

Install the app and its voice files while connected to the internet. Add your team and players, attach locally available audio, choose clips and prepare announcements before arriving at the field. Preview every generated announcement, especially names. Run Soundcheck, then test the actual speaker and volume you will use.

Does the announcer need the internet?

Voice generation runs on your phone using bundled model files. Saved announcements and songs play locally. There is no monthly voice-generation subscription or per-announcement charge. Installation, updates, downloading files from a cloud provider and sending support email may need internet access.

My song will not import

Choose an unprotected local MP3, M4A, AAC or WAV file that you have permission to use. Streaming subscriptions do not necessarily provide an importable file or event-playback rights. Download a selected cloud-drive file before going offline. The app does not remove copy protection or supply commercial songs.

An announcement mispronounces a name

Open the player's announcement editor, enter a pronunciation spelling, update the script and generate another preview. This lets you adjust the spoken script without changing the displayed player name. Listen before choosing Use announcement and saving the player. You can also import or record an introduction.

Generation cannot finish

Generation needs storage, working memory and time, which vary by device. Keep the app open while preparing an announcement. If generation fails, try again when the device has more resources available, or use an imported or recorded introduction. Prepare and preview introductions before the event.

The batting order changed or a player is absent

Use the roster's reorder handles to change the order. Hide an absent player for game day and use Undo if needed. Hiding is not deletion.

How do team pictures work?

Select a picture from Files, crop it and save. The saved team picture appears on both Home and Game Day. You can replace or remove it later. Team pictures are not included in roster exports.

Is Share roster file a backup?

No. It shares names, numbers, labels, clip settings and batting order, but not songs, recordings, generated announcements, team photos or absent-player settings. Import creates a new team and requires attaching media. Keep original media separately; uninstalling or clearing app storage can remove local app data.

Privacy and deletion

The app has no user account or publisher-operated roster server. Manage local players and photos in the app and app storage through your device. OS backups, original files and copies shared with others are separate. For information you sent to Salas Software LLC by email, contact support@salassoftware.com with your request. We cannot remotely access or erase a coach's phone or another recipient's copies.
