Import recipe text today

  1. Open Kitchen → Recipes → Import recipeSign in with the same account and active membership you use in the mobile app.
  2. Paste the recipeInclude its name, an Ingredients heading, one ingredient per line, and an Instructions heading followed by the steps. Add the original HTTPS recipe link if you have it.
  3. Review and saveCorrect names, servings, recipe amounts and optional buy quantities. Uncheck ingredients you do not need. Save creates a new recipe; it does not replace another recipe.

Imports support up to 100 ingredients. Add a personal photo after saving. Personal photos remain in the browser unless transferred; recipe details sync with supported mobile builds when personal sync is enabled.

Chrome and Edge extension preview

Cartwoven Recipe Saver is being tested. It is not yet available in the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. Official installation links will appear here after approval.

  1. Open a recipe pageClick the Cartwoven extension and choose Find recipes on this page.
  2. Choose a recipeIf the page has no supported recipe data, highlight the recipe text and use Use highlighted recipe text.
  3. Review in CartwovenThe extension opens your Cartwoven tab with a draft. Sign in if needed, then review and save. Keep the page open until finished; unsaved drafts are not permanent.

Some pages are unsupported. The extension does not bypass sign-ins or paywalls, fetch photos, or save recipes automatically.

Recipe Saver privacy

The extension reads the current page only after you click a reading action. It reads recipe structured data, or the text you explicitly highlight. When you choose Review in Cartwoven, it sends that draft and the page link to salassoftware.com using a URL fragment, which the web app removes after reading. It can find an open Cartwoven tab on salassoftware.com so you can keep using your signed-in workspace.

The extension does not collect passwords, cookies, browsing history, payment information, analytics or photos. Drafts are kept in memory until reviewed or the page is closed. Saving uses your Cartwoven account and existing membership; saved recipe details use Cartwoven’s normal cloud sync and deletion controls. The recipe website’s content remains subject to its terms; import content you have permission to use.
